In this space, we acknowledge our imperfections with compassion. We don't demand dogma; instead, we offer a covenant of care. This congregation brings together a rich tapestry of ideologically and theologically diverse individuals. Here, we practice the essential art of living with and learning from those whose paths differ from our own.

Our congregation is dedicated to a free and responsible search for Truth and Meaning, and to living our values out loud. Our ethic of love is not contained within these walls. It flows outward into our community and our world as we work for justice, equity, and the healing of our planet.

Our Denominations

First Parish Church is a federated church of both United Church of Christ (UCC) and Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) denominations. Many church members are members of UCC, UUA, both, or simply members of First Parish Church. All are welcome - members and friends!

Our Covenant

We covenant together, and with God, to be a supportive, sharing fellowship, which nurtures the spiritual development of its members and friends, seeks truth with respect for diversity and sensitivity to traditions, and works toward a more just and compassionate community, in Berlin, and the world.
