We will be exploring Beth Macy’s Paper Girl—A Memoir of Home and Family in a Fractured America.  Named a Best Book of the Year by The New Yorker, the book is the author’s reckoning with the changes that have rocked her own beloved small Ohio hometown.  As Macy’s mother’s health declined in 2020, Macy couldn’t shake the feeling that her town had somehow hardened.  Even as events signal warning there is also room for much hope.

Our book discussions offer a place of community as we explore topics of the day through various lenses.  Even as we offer some structure our discussions are free flowing and always have places for our own personal stories
