Welcome to the First Parish Church website! We are a federated church affiliated with both the United Church of Christ and the Unitarian Universalist Association. Located in the pastoral community of Berlin, MA (pop. 2600), our historic building graces a typical New England town green.

We nourish our spirits:
In addition to inspiring Sunday services we offer these special services: candlelight Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, a midweek Lenten series, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday (with a great fish supper afterward) outdoor Easter sunrise service, and the annual Blessing of the Animals. We also offer lay led services throughout the year, from Solstice celebrations to Seder suppers.

We nurture our local community:
Following in the New England tradition of the church being a secular center for community activities, our buildings are used for events ranging from contra dances (with the Berlin Country Orchestra) and the Village Coffeehouse to yoga and model airplane club meetings.

We nurture our wider community:
Whether through special offerings or as part of our annual budget, we at FPC support a wide variety of UUA, UCC and Church World Service projects, as well as local clothing drives, food pantries, and Christmas gifts for families in need. An exciting new project for us is the support of a school/orphanage/health center in Tibet, co-founded by one of our own parishioners.

We nurture our bodies:
Of course, we could be the most food-oriented community of faith you’ll find – in addition to delicious Fellowship Hour repasts, we also enjoy pancake breakfasts (and suppers!), spaghetti dinners, ham& bean suppers potluck dinners, and phenomenal fundraising dinners throughout the year!
